About WOTA

WOTA stands for West Oakland Transportation Authority.  The purpose of WOTA is to secure rides to necessary, as well as enjoyable, destinations for our residents.

Employment Opportunities

WOTA is hiring NOW for the following positions:

Part-time drivers, must have or be able to get a chauffeur's license. Hours run from 7am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Part-timers can work up to 29 hours per week. We pick up elderly and disabled riders from Highland, Waterford, Walled Lake and White Lake. Must like people and have excellent driving record. We are a zero tolerance program and all potential applicants will be drug tested and back ground checked. Must be able to lift 30+ pounds and be able to help riders on and off the bus and lock down wheelchairs and scooters. Training will be provided. Must be able to manage your time and be familiar with the areas we serve. Smart phone walkie-talkies and tablets with GPS will be used. This is an independent and team job. Starting pay $12/hr with potential rises after 90 days.
